Chantal from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events is so thankful that the weather held out for the beautiful Memorial Day wedding of Sarah and David at the National Cathedral. The light shown through the gorgeous stained glass windows as the beautiful bride and handsome groom exchanged vows in the Great Choir in the heart of the cathedral in front of 120 of their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, the couple went to the bishop’s garden at the Cathedral where they took some fun portrait shots. Atop the Hay Adams’ roof, guests enjoyed hors d’ourvres during the cocktail hour and took in one of the most amazing views of the city. After a delicious dinner in the ornate John Hay room, guests danced the night away to the amazing band Sound Nation. Thanks to Bryan Blanken from Freed Photography who did an amazing job with the photos and another congratulations to Sarah and David!

Amy and Rene’s love was witnessed by 45 of their closest friends and family as they celebrated in the intimate Nest at the historic Willard hotel. Chantal from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events was thrilled to be a part of their special day as they exchanged vows in front of their close friend (and great dancer) Evan before enjoying a delicious meal complete with German sauerbraten and spaetzel, a tribute to Rene’s German heritage. After dinner they danced and sometimes waltzed the night away. Greenworks did an amazing job with the flowers and a big thanks to Eli Turner from Freed Photography for these great shots!

Chantal from Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events had the pleasure of working with Kristin and Brent on their April 17th wedding where cherry blossoms were featured across town at the Walker Chapel United Methodist Church and the Washington Golf Country Club. The bride was beaming and the groom was overwhelmed with joy as they said their “I Do’s” and then headed over to the country club for some tasty food, amazing views of the city and a packed dance floor. The groom’s idea of tall cherry blossom branches added to the decor nicely and the color coordinated candy bar was another big hit! Thanks to Maria Vicencio for the great photos and a big congratulations to Kristin and Brent!

Alex Pare from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events had the pleasure of working with Erica and Chris on their beautiful evening wedding at Oxon Hill Manor. It was a bit chilly but the bride and groom exchanged vows in the garden with the sun setting over the Potomac. The bride looked nothing less than stunning in her Romona Keveza gown and cathedral length veil. Guests ate a delicious meal from Design Cuisine and the bride and groom chose to serve individual cakes with a choice of toppings to each guest instead of slicing a cake. The guests danced the night away with the band and stopped for a quick break to enjoy a Chicago Style hot dog! Thanks to Rodney Bailey for the amazing images!

I have often been asked by clients, “What goes into producing a professional video?” This is a somewhat loaded question, as it can imply, “Why does it cost so much,” or “Why can’t I have my nephew shoot the video for me?” So my goal becomes education. I went to NYU Film School. I have a degree in Film and Video Production. And I have run my own video company for ten years. I have A LOT to say on the subject! But for a very short synopsis of what it is that I think goes into creating a professional event video, read
