How to choose wedding colors

April 21st, 2009 by Katie Martin

Choosing Wedding Colors may be a challenge to some brides and a piece
of cake to others.. Below you will find 3 simple tips that will help
any bride paint the perfect palette

1. Go beyond Bridal

” I encourage brides to see what’s happening in the fashion market”
for example look at what’s in the stores.. You may be inspired by a
floral dress or even something vintage.
Inspiration comes in may shapes and forms so keep your eyes open when
shopping and you just might find what you’re looking for. Also
remember that patterns can be really fun as well..

2.      Remember to take into account the season and the location

Season has a lot to do with choosing colors what you will find in
stores and what’s available at your florist.
If you’re planning  a destination wedding remember to take into
consideration the climate & landscape of the location.

3.Consider the Five Senses

You’ll want to entice all the senses. Think about linens, candles,
flowers and food. A mix of different  textures and colors help to
create the perfect atmosphere.
Using multi-textures linens with your color scheme or adding other
details like wrought-iron instead of glass for your centerpieces
helps to mix things up. Don’t be afraid
to experiment.. Small details can make a huge difference in your
overall design.
